WELCOME!
BIENVENIDOS!
We study how the brain controls behavior and physiology, and how the control process is influenced by genetic, social and environmental factors using the animal model Drosophila melanogaster, fruit flies.
Our research program is interdisciplinary employing molecular, cellular, bioinformatic, pharmacological, genetic, computational and behavioral approaches, attracting students with broad interests and backgrounds. Drosophila melanogaster is highly amenable for students at all levels to gain hands-on research experience.
